Accommodations
Hostal de La Gavina
One of the leading luxury beach resorts near Barcelona. Located in the heart of La Costa Brava, Hostal de La Gavina offers an incomparable environment to celebrate the most important day, which is why we chose it as the location to begin the next chapter of our lives.
Unfortunately, this hotel is sold out during our wedding date. The other hotels we have listed are great options throughout the town and are all very walkable between each other.
S'Agaro Hotel
5-minute walking distance to Hostal de La Gavina. The hotel is located on the seafront, overlooking Sant Pol Beach, one of the most privileged spots on the Costa Brava. It's a shallow, fine-sand beach, isolated from the hustle and bustle of the coastal areas during the summer season. 4 star hotel option.
Hotel ILUNION Caleta Park
15-minute walking distance to Hostal de La Gavina. The hotel offers stunning views of the beach and has a comprehensive range of services and amenities. 4 star hotel option.
Hotel Sant Pol

Airbnb or Vrbo
In addition to the hotel options listed above, there are several Airbnb or Vrbo rental options available in S'Agaró.
Transportation
Rent a Car
S'Agaro is 1-2 hours north of Barcelona by car. You can rent a car at the Barcelona airport or in the city. The drive along the coast is beautiful!
Taxi / Uber / Cabify
Taxis or Cabify (a European version of Uber) are popular in Barcelona. Uber is available in Barcelona, but it is not as common as it is in the United States. Ability to take a taxi / Uber / Cabify from Barcelona to S'Agaro will be driver specific.
Private Car Service
For a more comfortable and direct trip, you can also book a private transfer from Barcelona to S’Agaro. Several companies offer this service and can be arranged in advance.
Bus
Sarfa buses run regularly from Barcelona Nord station to nearby Platja d’Aro or Sant Feliu de Guíxols, both just a short taxi ride from S’Agaro.
Things to do
S'Agaro
S'Agaro is a beautiful, small beach town and the location of our wedding. Outside of wedding events, there are plenty of fun activities to do in/around town:
- Beaches and Swimming Pool
- Watersports & Coastal Excursions
- Coastal Walking Paths and Cycling
- Golf
- Wine
Costa Brava
Costa Brava, the region that S'Agaro lies within, is gorgeous and has plenty to offer. Should you want to explore more of Spain, here are some helpful tools that will give you an overview of the surrounding region.
Barcelona
Spain's second largest city, Barcelona is known for its art and architecture. To get your bearings when you first land in Spain, you may want to explore Barcelona for a day or a few. Below are some popular spots to hit when visiting Barcelona:
- La Sagrada Familia (Gaudi's unfinished Cathedral; will be the tallest in the world when completed in 2026)
- Park Guell (Gaudi's house and park)
- Cathedral de Barcelona (beautiful historic church)
- Tapas Tour (fun Spanish activity to explore local food and drinks)
- La Barceloneta (cool neighborhood by the water)
See you in Spain!
Registry
Your presence at our wedding is present enough! However, for friends and family who have been asking, we have created a registry to help set us up for our future.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are children allowed at the ceremony?
While we love your kids, we kindly request a child free wedding.
Can I bring a plus one?
Kindly refer to whom your invite is addressed to.
Is there a room block?
Hostal de La Gavina does not offer wedding blocks.
What is the attire?
See below the FAQ section for photo inspiration.
Welcome Party - Elevated Beach.
Wedding - Formal. Floor-length dresses. Tuxes, suits, or lightweight blazers.
If we want to make a trip out of this, should we come before or do it after the wedding?
We encourage all of our guests to explore Spain/Europe either before or after our wedding. While your personal schedule will dictate what is best for you, there are a couple things to be mindful of:
- Jet lag: S'Agaro is 9-hours ahead of the Pacific Time Zone; 6-hours ahead of the Eastern Time Zone. You may be tired from jet lag at the start of your trip as your sleep may be off, but alternatively you may be wide awake into the later hours giving you more energy to enjoy the wedding into the night!
- Memorial Day Weekend: Memorial Day will fall on May 25, 2026 (the Monday following our wedding). Most people will likely have that Monday off work, giving you a little extra travel flexibility.
When should I arrive to S'Agaro?
The wedding will be on Thursday, May 21, 2026, but we would love to start mingling with guests the day before. Therefore, we encourage you to arrive in S'Agaro by Wednesday.
What will the weather be?
It will be spring along the coast of Spain; it tends to be sunny in the low-to-mid 70s, 60s at night.
Do I need a passport and/or visa?
A passport with three months validity beyond your date of departure is required for entry into Spain.
Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony will be held inside a chapel. The following reception will be held both indoors and outdoors. Cocktail hour and dinner will be outside, following which we will move inside for dancing.
Is there parking available?
Yes, parking is available. Taxis can be hard to come by, so we recommend staying at one of the nearby hotels or plan to drive if you are staying at an Airbnb. If you are coming to the wedding in a car, you can park at Hostal de La Gavina (our venue).
